It’s been about a year since I started my Substack newsletter and you’re one of the 5,500+ people that have made it great. Really great, I should say if I want to stay on brand.
I just wanted to thank each and every one of you.
I would have never considered myself a ‘writer’, but I guess here I am.
I’ll take it.
I feel smarter and like I did better in high school than I actually did.
Of course, the weekly newsletter will remain free for the foreseeable.
Those of you who are paid subscribers seem to be enjoying my Daily Epigrams and they seem to be serving the intended purpose of disrupting everyday patterns and, at least for a brief moment, allowing you to be burdened by the fleeting thoughts that whizz through the echoey cavernous bulb that science refers to as ‘my brain’ and then use that synaptical spark to maybe make life a little more your own.
Which is wonderful.
So, thank you.
I don’t usually subscribe to anything but I am so glad that in your case I made an exception. Without sounding too corny, I find you embody Canadianism. Your self deprecating common sense wit keeps me grounded when the political craziness begins to overwhelm.
So happy to be a part of all the good work you are doing. You make me smile everyday. 🥰
