I am sorry for the loss of your Dad. Dads who are also friends are precious, and they are missed as long as our memories remain. I am glad a joy followed your pain.

Gorgeous writing, B! What struck me most was your compassion for your mom. Your loss is immense. Her loss is half of herself. You note the visible decline of your pop. Thanks. Mine died in 1990. The last time I spent with him was brief. He seemed to have more love than I recalled, and he seemed paper-thin. The feelings are immeasurable, but words are what we have together over distance. Again, thanks.

Wild speculation going on at the source of the joy. I’m glad for you whatever the occasion . Losing your dad is a very hard one ,watching your mom deal with the loss is another. You could all do with a bit of joy round about now.

You know, we're all on tenterhooks now waiting to be let in on the cause of the joy !!!

If anyone deserves it, it's you and your family, but please don't keep us in suspense for too long. You know how impatient we are.

So sorry for your loss …. My beloved passed recently - we had drinks with you & Shana in Stratford at the converted church twice during the Shakespeare festival in 2016 and 2017 or 2018 … Charlie probably told stories of animal genitals or faeces from his African photo safaris … it was such a delightful evening!! Hope you’re enjoying the UK …
